“Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are” – Brené Brown, The Gifts of Imperfection

We either let what other people think of us dictate our behavior or we don’t. And like many things, the truth is much more nuanced. When we view authenticity as a daily practice and as a characteristic we can choose to cultivate, it puts us in the driver’s seat. And it gives us permission to both fail and to try again.
